Reports ran in VE_reports can now be restricted by date ranges and practitioners

Report date ranges and practitioners can now be restricted for all sections within VE Report. This allows administrators to control which time periods users can access and limit reports to data associated with specific practitioners.

Prerequisites

  • Access to VE Admin with User List permissions. Typically Owner level permission is required to edit User List.
  • Users must be associated with a practitioner in the User List. Either a specific practitioner or set to All

Configure Date Range Restrictions

To restrict the date ranges a user can access in VE Report:

  1. Navigate to VE Admin > User List.
  2. Select the user you want to configure.
  3. Click the Other tab.
  4. In the Reports section, select the date range restriction from the dropdown menu:
    • No Access — User cannot access reports.
    • Today — User can only view reports for the current day.
    • Within a Week — User can view reports for the past seven days.
    • Within a Month — User can view reports for the past thirty days.
    • Within a Year — User can view reports for the past twelve months.
    • All — User can access reports for all available time periods.
  5. Click Save.

Associate Users with Practitioners

To restrict reports based on the practitioner associated with the logged-in user:

  1. Navigate to VE Admin > User List.
  2. Select the user you want to configure.
  3. Associate the user with a practitioner in the Practitioner field under Formal Display
  4. Click Save.

Notes
Note: The User will be restricted to only access their associated practitioner's reports unless set to "All." This is a privacy measure for other practitioners

Publish Changes

  1. After configuring restrictions, click Publish in VE Admin.
  2. Click Restart Visual-Eyes.
  3. Restart VE Report for the changes to take effect.

Verify Report Access

To verify that Report Access are working correctly:

  2. Run a report in the desired time frame.
  3. Confirm that the report only displays data within the configured date range and for the assigned practitioner.
