Configuring default printers for various Visual-Eyes printouts streamlines workflow by allowing each document type, such as invoices, prescriptions, and day sheets, to automatically use a dedicated printer. This eliminates manual printer selection each time a document is printed.
To allow a user to assign default printers for printouts, you must grant the Change Local Settings permission.
Once permissions are assigned, configure default printers for specific printout types:
Issue: Newly installed printer does not appear in the printer dropdown. Fix: Visual-Eyes loads the list of printers at program startup. To detect and assign a newly installed printer, close and restart Visual-Eyes.
Tip: Configure dedicated printers for high-volume printouts such as invoices and day sheets to reduce printer traffic and minimize errors. Document your printer assignments for each workstation to simplify troubleshooting and new staff onboarding.
