Lens Cost / WholeSale Calculation

Purpose 

To allow choosing of how lens costs are calculated


Stock/Uncut are based on Uncut price

Finished/Remote edging is based on Finished price

Supplied removes cost

While the Wholesale defaults based on whatever you have set up in Admin for the wholesale cost. 

Note: If no option is selected for Wholesale based on: Then it will default to whatever the lens cost is. 

Wholesale pricing based on admin option:

  • 1. Open VE Admin
  • 2. Head to Manager>Rx/CL
  • 3. At the very bottom of the screen there is a field called “Wholesale.”
  •  

This field can be filled out with several different options: “Lens Source,” “Finished,” “Uncut,” “Retail.” 

Lens Source is based off of the “Source” field in the VE>Rx Screen

“Finished,” “Retail,” and “Uncut” are all based off of pricing input in the catalog


  1. Once those are set up you can see in the VE>Rx Screen under Lens>Arrow, that the items there change based on what the defaults are set to.
