Inventory can't see DYMO printer

  1. Close the Inventory program.
  2. Confirm you have the correct version of the DYMO Label software and drivers. You can verify the software you should have installed here: Dymo Compatibility Chart
  3. Once you have confirmed you have the correct software and drivers installed, check your Printer list to confirm the PC can see the printer. This can be seen in Control Panel > Devices and Printers (Windows 10 and older) or System > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & scanners (Windows 11)
  4. If the device is not visible in this list, disconnect it from the PC, then reconnect to allow Windows to check for new hardware.
  5. Once the device is installed, start Inventory again.
  6. Depending on what software you used from step 2:
    Dymo Label Software:
    Open the Inventory section, navigate to a frame, then ensure a .label file is selected in section 1. If not, click the arrow labeled 2, then select the '...' button in 3 and select to the appropriate .label for your label type. Then select the correct printer from the dropdown on the right.

    Dymo Connect Software:
    Open the Inventory section, navigate to a frame, then ensure a .fr3 file is selection in section 1. If not, click the arrow labeled 2, then select the '...' button in 3 and select the appropriate .fr3 for your label type. Then select the correct printer from the dropdown on the right.
